Our Rebbetzin

Holds degrees from the University of Chicago, and served on the faculty of the University of Southern California School of Social Work. She directed social service agencies — including the Jewish Family Service North County offices here in San Diego — and she is the world master practitioner and teacher of the spiritual psychotherapy, Soul Memory Discovery. 

With Rabbi Wayne, she is co-author of two books, 20 Minute Kabbalah, and Empowering Your Indigo Child, and she is the author of the monthly Internet publication, The Cosmic Times: Spiritual News You Can Use. 

Ellen has been described as a “modern-day prophet,” and Aleph: Alliance for Jewish Renewal has bestowed on her its prestigious designation, Eshet Hazon,“Woman of Vision” and, specifically, M’kasheret Olamot, the “Connector of Worlds.” 

Ellen is deeply involved in all aspects of The Elijah Minyan, especially coordinating our High Holiday services and special events, directing Kol Eliahu — the Voice of Elijah — our High Holiday Choir.
